<p>Welcome to&nbsp;our fifth annual tournament.&nbsp; As always we start late and end early, all the while providing the best speech competition of the year.&nbsp; In addition we offer spar and are the only tournament to offer spin!&nbsp; Whether you are trying to earn your spot to state, to NIETOC, or just want some great competition in a fun and efficient way, this is the tournament for you!</p> <p>Spin Rules: It&#39;s easy! We find a bunch of scripts and highlight parts.&nbsp;Every competitor is paired with someone else in the round, they are given a script and 5 minutes to prepare; then they deliver the interpretation extemporaneously.&nbsp; Competitors are judged on their ability to spontaneously interp, thus SPIN!&nbsp; It was our most popular event last year and we hope everyone has as much fun with it this year.</p> <p><strong>CONGRESS:</strong> Since Peninsula is not offering Congress we will offer one room of Congress at our tournament. This will mainly be for people who are trying to gain state berths from District 3 but is open to everyone. It is recommended that people who are competing in Congress do not double enter. There will be one session from 8:30-2:30 with lunch built in.
