Oktoberfest: Other Important Info

Entries: Novice and Open divisions are available in every event except LIBIELL. In some cases, we may need to collapse Novice and Open, but we will still recognize each division in awards. We will be following OSAA State Rules for all events, but students must be in costume to compete.

Fees: School Fee: $25.00. IE Fee: only $4.00 per entry (Dual Interp is counted as one entry). Debate Fee: only $4.00 per team.

Double Entries: You may double enter within Pattern A (except Extemp) and within Pattern B, with no more than two IEs per student. Any double-entered student is responsible to inform judges of any potential conflicts.

Deadlines: We are using the online system www.forensicstournament.net for entries. Registration is available now. The system will stop allowing entries at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday October 30th, at which time all fees will be finalized. You may not add a student after that time.

Judges: One judge will cover 5 IE entries and/or 2 Debate entries. There will be no fees charged for uncovered Debate or IE entries; however… WE’RE COUNTING ON YOU TO BRING AS MANY JUDGES AS POSSIBLE! We also ask that you bring timers/stopwatches/cell phones. To help keep a bit more money in our incredibly tight budget, we simply will not be able to provide timers for all judges.

Food: The Tillamook High School Boosters Organization will have items available for purchase in the cafeteria throughout the day.

Directions to Tillamook High: The school’s address is 2605 12th Street, Tillamook OR 97141. Map Quest will provide travel times and specific directions. We suggest allowing approximately two hours from the Portland or Salem areas. There are two parking lots across from the school, and the side lot is also available. Our school phone is: 503-842-2566.
