Welcome to the home page for the 2014 Principios Invitational (3rd-12th Grade) tournament hosted by Haddon Ave. Elementary (10115 Haddon Ave, 91331) (CA) on Nov 8, 2014 for Various students.

Presenting a Congressional Debate & Individual Events Tournament, with Elementary, Middle & High School Divisions!
Proceeds will fund the creation of a speech team at Haddon Ave. Elementary, in an impacted area of Pacoima, near Van Nuys.

No school nor league fees required, so schools interested in trying forensic speech for the first time are especially encouraged!
$10 per event for 3rd-5th Grade ($15 for 6th-12th), increasing to $15 per event starting 1 a.m. on Oct. 25th ($25 for 6th-12th).
No-Penalty Drop/Cancellation Deadline on Oct. 17th at 11:59 PM! Drops are allowed but charged starting on Sat. Oct. 18th.
ALL entries will be waitlisted until fees & fines are received, so pay ASAP to gurantees your entries!!

Pattern A holds all IEs (double-entry allowed & Congress can become a third event), Pattern B holds all Congressional Debate.
Multiple-entry contestants assume all responsibility for delivering ALL speeches WITHIN the allotted time for each round.
1 judge (high school age or higher) "covers" EVERY 1-4 entries.  $15 (3rd-5th) to $25 (7th-12th) fine PER uncovered entry!

Honoring both meanings of "Principios", Haddon Ave. welcomes "beginners" to speak/perform on issues of value & "principles"
All Congress & Impromptu topics will deal with values and all speeches are invited to touch upon themes of right and wrong!
