<p> Owensboro Community and Technical College has a proud tradition of regional and national forensics excellence spanning over two decades.&nbsp; In 2008, we won the NEDA Crossfire Debate Championship, we have three alumni who are winners of the Kentucky Forensics Association&#39;s prestigious Harlan Hamm Outstanding Speaker Award including the 2013 Male winner, James Lammers.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p> Our tournament offers NPDA debate (4 rounds plus appropriate elimination rounds). We feature team awards and both open and novice speaker awards. Our tournament results will be submitted to NPDA and we will be certified by that organization by November.</p> <p> We also offer competion in a wide array of individual events including Impromptu Counseling (our own event invention).&nbsp; We will offer open competition and top novice awards in all IEs.</p> <p> The tournament will also feature top 5 university and top 3 community college division awards and bestowal of the Robert Anderson Memorial Traveling Trophy for Excellence across the years.</p> <p> If you have questions about our tournament contact me (Director Bob Glenn) at (270) 929-7471 and we will be glad to answer any queries you may have about the event.</p>
