Competition will be held from April 6th – 7th on our campus. Ygnacio Valley<span style=\"\">  </span>is located in Concord, adjacent to Pleasant Hill and Walnut Creek. It is immediately off Interstate 680. It is most easily served by the Oakland International Airport and BART.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"\"> <span style=\"font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black;\"><o:p> </o:p></span></p> <p> <span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";\"><br /> </span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black;\">Notable reasons to attend: </span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";\"><br /> <br /> </span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black;\">1) We have modified our tournament schedule this year for a sleek two days.<span style=\"\">  </span>This will save you time and money.<span style=\"\">  </span>We will offer 5 preliminary rounds of debate and 3 rounds of Individual Events.</span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";\"><br /> <br /> </span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black;\">2) We have nice hotel to house those not commuting back and forth. We will be using the Walnut Creek Embassy Suites. It is close to campus, near to many food choices, and right next to Pleasant Hill BART. It is still quite nice and offers a full breakfast as part of the rate.<span style=\"\">  </span>Rooms are Quad-occupancy and the rate is $119/night, ask for the Warrior Invitational rate.</span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";\"><br /> <br /> </span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black;\">3) Our campus is compact and secure, there is limited entry points. In the unlikely event of rain, there is cover linking the cafeteria to all wings and literally every room we plan to use.<span style=\"\">  </span>Our campus is located with beautiful views of Mt. Diablo making for a welcoming educational environment.</span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";\"><br /> <br /> </span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black;\">4) We are offering both Open (JV/Varsity) and Novice (those in their first year) divisions of competition.<span style=\"\">  </span>We know that there are limited opportunities for Novice students compete this late in the season.<span style=\"\">  </span>We are committed to giving those students positive feedback to help them grow for next year.</span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";\"><br /> <br /> </span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black;\">5) We will be full-service. Your policy team, parliamentary team, LD team, public forum team and individual events team will all be able to compete. </span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";\"><br /> <br /> </span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black;\">6) We are striving to be as cheap as possible. We will have concessions open the duration of the tournament to serve<span style=\"\">  </span>Entry fees are being kept as low as possible to cover the cost of decent trophies, the custodial services and the security services the campus requires.</span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";\"><br /> <br /> </span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black;\">We will offer three preliminary rounds in 10 individual events (both novice and open when possible), two divisions of Parliamentary Debate, LD, and Public Forum and one division of policy debate. April is a great time to visit the East Bay and we are confident we will host excellent competition.
