Clark Invitational - SCHEDULE

Friday, February 19 – Saturday, February 20, 2016

University of Oregon

Oregon Forensics invites you and your students to the 2016 Robert D. Clark Invitational on Friday, February 19th and Saturday, February 20th. For decades we have hosted one of the largest tournaments on the West Coast.

The Clark Invitational offers five preliminary rounds of debate in four different formats, three preliminary rounds of individual events, and Student Congress. Finalists at our tournament regularly repeat their performances later in the spring at the OSAA state tournament.

The 2016 Robert D. Clark Invitational offers:

All OSAA events offered, following all OSAA rules

Two-day schedule

Fully catered coaches’ meeting

LOW FEES

Using feedback provided in 2015 we have taken significant steps to improvement the administration of the Clark Inviational. One important step in that effort is to ask all persons who will be judging at the Clark to provide their contact information (UO requires this) and their availabilty. Please provide judge information online here: http://blogs.uoregon.edu/forensics/2016-clark-judges/

Debaters attending the Clark Tournament should return for our summer institute, the Oregon Global Debate Institute from July 23-August 6, 2016. Based in the state-of-the-art Global Scholars Hall, the OGDI provides an exceptional learning environment to prepare students for success in all types of debate, individual events and beginning in 2017 Model United Nations and mock trial.

Oregon has hosted a high school tournament for more than 50 years and for much of that time we have hosted the event in the Erb Memorial Union building (EMU). Due to construction only some of the EMU is accessible.
