<p>Dear Colleague:</p> <p>The Speech and Debate teams of the University of the Pacific and San Joaquin Delta College are pleased to invite you and your forensics squad to attend the <strong>Pacific Meets the Delta </strong>invitational forensics tournaments. The swing tournaments, held in Stockton, CA are comprised of the Mustang Invitational (November 4) and the Pat Kennedy Parliamentary Round Robin (Nov. 4)/Paul Winters Invitational (November 5-6).</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>San Joaquin Delta College&rsquo;s <strong>Mustang Invitational</strong>. Two preliminary rounds of competition in Novice and Open divisions of all eleven AFA/Phi Rho Pi individual events will be offered. Events with seven or more competitors will advance to a final round. Judging Pool will be separate with the Paul Winters Invitational.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The University of the Pacific&rsquo;s <strong>Paul Winters Invitational </strong>is a full-service tournament featuring NPDA Debate, NFA LD Debate, and Individual events. NPDA and IE&rsquo;s run on Saturday and Sunday, while NFA L/D is self-contained on Friday. Two preliminary rounds of competition in Novice and Open divisions of all eleven AFA/Phi Rho Pi individual events will be offered, advancing to semifinals (as appropriate) or finals in each event. Six preliminary rounds of Novice, Junior, and Open divisions of NPDA Parliamentary Debate will advance to appropriate elimination rounds.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Additionally, four preliminary rounds of NFA L/D Debate (advancing to appropriate elimination rounds) will be offered. NOTA BENE: ALL BALLOTS IN NPDA will be ELECTRONIC! Judges will be expected to have an internet-capable device and have established a guest account on PacificNet_Guest PRIOR to Round One on Saturday morning. Postings will be at www.parlitournament.com <strong>**NOTE: In the event of conflict, the resolution AS ANNOUNCED BY THE TD takes precedence over anything posted electronically** </strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>INTERNET ACCESS IS **NOT** guaranteed. There are a series of steps to get internet access via PacificNet_Guest, but it does not work with all phones. You are REQUIRED to have a backup if you are judging Parli. We cannot help you with logging on as it is a confusing series of tubes that is beyond our arcane expertise.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>On Friday, November 6, the University of the Pacific will also host the <strong>Pat Kennedy Tournament, </strong>a modified Round Robin. This one-day tournament will draw many of NPDA&rsquo;s best programs to compete against one another. Applications are due to Steven Farias (sfarias@pacific.edu) by October 17, 2016. All entries must be received by Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at 11pm. Entries will be taken electronically at forensicstournament.net. Changes (but no additions) may be made until Thursday at Noon. If you have never used this method for submitting tournament entries, you will find this page straightforward and efficient.
