Status: Tournament Completed

UPDATE (as of Wednesday morning, October 22): Registration has closed; if you have any adds/drops/changes, please enter them as soon as possible, but no later than 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 23.

We remain delighted with the response we've gotten to this inaugural policy-only tournament. As first-time hosts, we're very much looking forward to seeing all of you on Saturday, October 25.

Based on registrations as of this morning, we are not -- unfortunately -- able to run a separate Junior Varsity division. The better news, however, is that the current distribution of entries should allow us to pre-pair the first five rounds, thus allowing time for a championship round in both the Varsity and Novice divisions.

******************************

Oak Hill School in Eugene, Oregon, is hosting its inaugural 'Purely Policy' Debate Tournament on Saturday, October 25, 2014. Our goal is to give CX policy debaters an early-season tournament with at least five CX rounds per team in varsity, junior varsity, and novice divisions. Our pairing priorities include maximizing the number of rounds per team, avoiding teams from the same school debating each other (at least prior to the finals), and avoiding two teams meeting a second time prior to bracketed rounds. Please see the attached invitation and schedule for additional details. Please e-mail debate@oakhillschool.net with any questions. Space is limited -- we have a very small campus -- so please register early. Once we reach 26-30 teams (depending on distribution among divisions) we will have to stop taking new entrants.
