Welcome to the home page for the 2012 MOUNT VERNON SPEECH & DEBATE: Moved to 1/27 and 1/28 due to snowstorm tournament hosted by Mt. Vernon High School (WA) on Jan 27-28, 2012 for High School students.

DUE TO THE SNOWSTORM, THE TOURNAMENT HAS BEEN MOVED TO JANUARY 27th AND 28th.  ALL EVENTS AND SCHEDULES REMAIN IN EFFECT. YOUR ORIGINAL ENTRIES HAVE BEEN KEPT INTACT.  PLEASE MAKE ANY CHANGES NEEDED, AND THE SITE WILL REMAIN OPEN FOR NEWS TEAMS, ADDS, AND DROPS THROUGH WEDNESDAY 1/25. 

COACHES: We will tag top novices for trophies and ask that you enter all competitors at their skill level, but be aware that novices and opens will be run together in speech, and depending on numbers, they may be run together in congress as well.  In addition, should it become necessary to collapse any debate divisions, open will probably be collapsed with JV, but again, that will depend on final numbers.

One last note: The biggest way you can help any tournament run on time is to bring enough judges, so it's important that you do that!
