On behalf of Mt. Hood Community College Forensics Team, I would like to invite you to the 11th annual Mt. Hood Community College Saints Invitational.  We have decided to stay with a 1-day schedule. We hope this will make it easier for some programs struggling with funding issues, while also getting valuable competition right before their district qualifying tournaments. We will be offering a full-service tournament including individual events, Student Congress, and LD-V, Public and Public Forum debate.

 

In this time of funding instability, we are lowering our fees to assist teams who may be finding themselves with very tight budgets. In order for us to do this, we are asking all teams to make sure they bring judges to cover their entries as we may not be able to hire as many judges to help cover you. We would rather have your judges than your uncovered judging fees!

 

We will still feature the presentation of the Michael Ramon Padilla Top Speaker Award.  The recipient of this award will be the student who has earned the most sweepstakes points for their team.  This award is named after Michael Ramon Padilla who was a colleague of mine from Clark College and Portland State University.  Ramon was an exceptional speaker known for his leadership and was one who demonstrated impressive sportsmanship.
