<p><strong>Laurel High School cordially invites you to the Laurel High School Speech, Drama and Debate Tournament on Saturday, January 13, 2018.</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>REGISTRATION:</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Please fill out the pre-registration survey is you have not done so already&nbsp;so that we can start planning for rooms and judges for this large tournament. This is not a binding registration; we would just like an estimate of the number of competitors we will be accommodating. <a href=\"http://goo.gl/forms/FRnO5F3TWx\">http://goo.gl/forms/FRnO5F3TWx</a></strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Registration will be at Laurel High School between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM. An entry fee of $5.00 will be charged for each participant. NO LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Changes (drops/adds) to registration can be made until Thursday, January 11th online. A drop fee of $5.00 will be assessed for each contestant dropped after 4:00pm on Friday, January 12th. Coaches, please familiarize yourselves with any differences between AA and A event rules.</strong></p> </li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>DOUBLE-ENTRY:</strong></p> <p><strong>Double Entry will be allowed for class A and AA only.</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>FOOD: &nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Concessions will be available at the high school for either cash or PO. If you use a purchase order at concessions, please have a typed list of competitors to give to the concessions manager but there are also several fast food places close to the school. &nbsp;Lunch will be provided in the hospitality room for judges, coaches and drivers.</strong></p> <p><br /> &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>COMPETITION SITE: </strong></p> <p><strong>As of right now, Drama and Debate events will be held at Laurel Middle School (725 Washington Ave) and Speech will be held at Laurel High School (203 E 8th St). All final rounds will be held at Laurel High School. There will be a commons area for students at each building. Students should be in the designated commons area when not in rounds. Remember contestants may not be in competition rooms unless a judge or coach is present. At the end of the tournament, please ask your students to pick up their area. The awards assembly will be in the high school auditorium at approximately 4:30 pm. &nbsp;</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>TABBING ASSIGNMENTS/JUDGES:</strong></p> <p><strong>Tabbing assignments will be in your registration confirmation email. I will do my best to accommodate tabbing requests but I ask that you please tab what you are assigned to. I may ask assistant coaches to fill in for any judges that don&rsquo;t show the day of competition.</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>COMPETITION:</strong></p> <p><strong>There will be three preliminary rounds and finals in all.
