<p><strong>Hamilton Invitational Tournament – November 15, 2014</strong></p>
<p>Dear Colleagues:</p>
<p>You are cordially invited to attend the Hamilton Invitational Speech / Drama / Debate Tournament November 15, 2014</p>
<p><strong>Registration</strong><strong>:</strong> Register your team on line at <a href=\"http://www.forensicstournament.net/Hamilton/14\">http://www.forensicstournament.net/Hamilton/14</a> no later than <strong>Wednesday, Nov. 5th. </strong>JV teams are welcome but will not qualify for sweeps. You may make adjustments to your entry by going online. Additions will be closed on Mon. Nov. 10. Drops will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 13. Changes in registration after the deadlines will need to be made by calling or emailing the tournament director.</p>

<p><strong>Entry Fees:</strong> Entry fees will be <strong>$5.00</strong> per student, based on the entries on the <strong>original</strong> registration form. Please call all drops to 381-7727 when you are on the bus to avoid problems. Please do not pay at registration. No drop fee will be charged. Your school will be billed based on registration and adjustments made after initial registration, if any. </p>
<p><strong>Rules:</strong> The MHSA handbook rules will be enforced. Please mark all double entries clearly on the registration form.</p>
<p>LD topic for this meet:<strong> Resolved</strong>: A just society ought to presume consent for organ procurement from the deceased.</p>
<p><strong>Bonus Event! Extemporaneous Debate-</strong> This will be a supplemental event for debaters who have not made quarter finals. It is a short debate and students are assigned the topic and side, then will have 30 minutes to prepare prior to competing. The rules are attached. There will be a $1 for each student who enters. Computers may be used in to prepare and in the round. We encourage all debaters to take advantage of the opportunity to try this debate.</p>
<p><strong>Registration</strong> the day of the tournament will be held at the main office of the High School (on the north side of school facing Fairgrounds Rd.) from 7:00 - 7:45 am.</p>

Awards will be in the Performing Arts Center as soon as the final results have been tabulated.</p>
<p><strong>Location:</strong> Depending on number of entries speech & drama events will be held at the Hamilton High School with Debate at Hamilton Middle School, if entries warrant using a 2nd site. Coaches will be notified by email to confirm registration numbers, entries and competition locations. </p>
<p><strong>Concessions</strong> will be available to students, lunch will be provided for coaches and drivers.</p>
<p><strong>The Hamilton School District is equipped with computers in each classroom. Students are reminded that they are guests and should act as such.</strong></p>
<p><strong>No tampering with classrooms, computers, or teacher and / or student materials! </strong><br />
<strong>Coaches are expected to monitor their students.</strong><br />
<strong>Because of the noise factor, no open stereos in any buildings EXCEPT when required for a piece.</strong></p>
