<p>Welcome to the home page for the 2016 21st Annual BBQ Capital of the World Speech and Debate Tournament tournament hosted by Owensboro Community and Technical College (KY) on Nov 6-7, 2015 for College students.</p> <p>Fellow Forensicators:</p> <p>WE are an open tournament offering 14 individual events, IPDA, and NPDA debate. We would love to have you attend the 22nd annual edition of our tournament which features:</p> <ul> <li>Pentad awards for the top 10 competitors entered in at least 5 events.</li> <li>Sweepstakes awards for the top 5 performing four-year schools in attendance.</li> <li>Sweepstakes awards for the top 5 performing Debate Schools in attendance.</li> <li>Sweepstakes awards for the top 3 performing community colleges in attendance.</li> <li>A delicious &amp; inexpensive barbecue lunch featuring America&rsquo;s Best Barbecue 2014 Food Network Winner (Old Hickory).</li> <li>Top novice awards for all 14 IE events and top 10 novice debate speakers.</li> <li>Non-AFA events: Radio Broadcasting , Impromptu Counseling, &amp;&nbsp;<strong>Impromptu Weathercasting (new this year).</strong></li> <li>A one-day IE tournament (Saturday).</li> <li>The Robert Anderson Memorial Traveling Trophy will be awarded for Squad success over the years</li> <li>4 Rounds of NPDA and IPDA debate plus appropriate out rounds and awards.</li> <li>Novice speaker awards in debate (both IPDA and NPDA).</li> </ul> <p>Come enjoy the friendly hospitality at our tournament and the ambience of visiting an All-American City and our reinvented Downtown area on the River!</p> <p>Warmest Regards,&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Bob Glenn, Director of Forensics Owensboro Community and Technical College</p>
